Good Read, though too late for me. I wanted the JAVA version of the KA08 and there was no mention that it did not support JAVA. The list of features can be overwhelming at times and throw you off from what features you are looking for. I guess back to the drawing board. Will sale it via Craigslist, and get the I9. The KA08 is too small really but I would have tolerated that, but I do need the JAVA because I was porting over an application that I had written for desktops.
ReplyDeleteScreen is not bright enough. I bought the KA08 recently and liked it out of the box. However when I walked outside with it in daylight (even on a cloudy day) the sreeen was a complete washout (even after I had adjusted brightness to maximum). Since the phone has no buttons outside of the touchscreen and it does not have voice dialing, it is almost impossible to use it outside in daylight. Also the phone boasts caller picture association with numbers. I found out that the pictures have to be less that 25K and even with that I could load only 2 on to the phone's memory (which came almost full). It does not allow you to use pictures off the memory card to associate with phone numbers. Furthermore, the one photo I could attached appeared on the screen at a size that was about one fifth of the screen. So it does not really help, I could look at the caller number as easily. So if you can play with the phone before buying that would be good, otherwise remember that most ebay sellers would'nt take it back unless the consider it "defective".
